My sim tray is 100% cut the incorrect way. Even when I've trimmed down the plastic sim (it still gives reception in my iPhone X) and nothing in iPhone XS
I guess this is Apple's winning strategy to promote eSIM.
Interesting fact about the never-existed US/Pacific-New timezone:
'US/Pacific-New' stands for "Pacific Presidential Election Time", which was passed by the House in April 1989 but never signed into law.
